Pilates 

  • PILATES METHOD- a system of exercises designed by Joseph Pilates in the 1920s that build general core strength as well as postural awareness with abdominal centered movement, gluteal tone, shoulder stability, & spinal strength/flexibility. It is a combination of mat work, and spring-resisted apparatus such as the reformer, tower/cadillac, and chair- (though this is not an exhausted list of all Joe’s inventions). Pilates sessions can accommodate and challenge all levels of abilities. 

  • My private Pilates sessions usually incorporate my SOMA/ELDOA training, as I find people get better results this way. For example, Myo-Fascial and Global Postural Stretching + L5S1 ELDOA. My clients with pelvic floor dysfunctions benefit from these combo Pilates sessions that incorporate Low Pressure Fitness Hypopressives.
